EVISSA COLLECTION

All the pieces within this furniture collection have been machine manufactured, which is a new generation of production in India. That's not to say machines aren't involved previously but this development has changed the concept of handicraft into 100% machine orientated, which in turn makes this very different in its overall appearance.

The Evissa collection is made from Solid Sheesham High Grade Wood with an untreated finish.

This collection is very European looking and carries a unique look, but is by far taking away the concept of ethnic looking and introducing something completely different to the market. All products have been chemically treated with a protection on the furniture, with an untreated appeal to it. There is no lacquer coating on this product, unlike all other collections.

The beauty of the wood makes each piece truly unique with its distinctive grain. Some of the pieces also have unconventional but practical design features, which once again enhances the products appearance making this an attractive collection for the modern home.

This range is a naturally lighter colour than the other collections. The attractive screw in legs and also nicely shaped grooves on each item are some of the many features that makes this range so offsetting from its peers.

Each of the joints have been carefully machine produced, all the woods have been carefully selected within this range making this very rich and consistent.

The sideboard also has modern chrome hinges which are adjustable; this is another feature which makes this different from the handmade products on offer.

This collection offers a contemporary alternative to conventional solid wood furniture.

Care Instructions

Protective Matt Finish / Lacquered

As the surface has a natural wax finish great care should be taken to avoid any liquids being spilt onto the surface as this may mark the furniture.

For everyday care, wipe with a dry cloth or duster. To achieve optimum finish, polish your product with beeswax polish available for Sheesham wood, using either a dry cloth or soft material and buff your furniture slowly ensuring excess wax is removed.

If any stains occur you can gently sand areas which may cause patches if spillages occur and then re-wax to bring your product back to the original form.

  • To avoid your product from being damaged we would always recommend that you always use protective coasters or mats. Each piece is built for life, however if abused the natural product can deteriate if not cared for.
  • Do not place cups, glasses or hot items directly onto the surface as this can cause permanent damage.
  • Avoid exposing the furniture to excessive heat or direct sunlight as this can potentially cause cracking and discolouration of the timber.
  • Do not use silicone based aerosol polish as this will remove the natural colour and protective coating.
  • Never use a damp cloth as this may also remove part of the coating.
  • Any spillages must be wiped away immediately using a dry cloth.

Important

The final finishing process involves a colour stain and lacquer applied to the product, and then buffed to enhance the wood grain. You may find that parts of the packaging leave impressions in the soft wood. These can simply be polished out with a soft cloth once your furniture has warmed to room temperature.

You must ensure you have good access for our delivery vehicles. Drivers are unaccompanied and in the case of larger pieces of furniture, will require assistance with unloading. Drivers cannot leave vehicles unattended, so please do not expect them to take items to upstairs storerooms or alternative storage areas.
